Science Research

The science research program at Ossining High School is part of the larger Science Research in the High School, University at Albany Program. Students interested in joining the program complete an application at the end of their freshman year and once selected, enter the program during their sophomore year. Students then embark on a 3-year journey where they engage in authentic research on any discipline area they choose. In the process, they find mentors, who are experts on their topic of interest, and engage in the process of research, data collection, and analysis, as they present their research at various symposia around the state and the country. For some of our scholars, their high school research careers have culminated with recognition at the country's most prestigious competition, the Regeneron Science Talent Search!
